In a 1/2- inch pool of water in an airtight container, place the avocado halves face down. Close the lid and store the container in the fridge. In this way, your avocado will stay green for up to 3 days.

You can also use this trick after your avocado has been made into guacamole. Just put the guacamole in an airtight container and press the air bubbles out. Then, sprinkle lukewarm water over it.
