Patients with Type II diabetes were included in a study in which they have to consume 2 grams of ginger powder. The results showed that there was a reduction in their blood sugar levels by 12 % within 12 weeks. The increased blood sugar leads to heart disease, and the ginger reduces the risk of heart disease by 10%.
Reduce cholesterol levels
90 patients with increased cholesterol levels were included in a study which lasted for 45 days. The results showed that the consumption of 3 grams of ginger can reduce the cholesterol levels.
There have been made numerous tests of the substance 6-gingerol and its properties for treating different types of cancers.
Although it is not scientifically proved, the researchers believe that consumption of 2 grams of ginger on a daily basis can lower the pro-inflammatory molecules which are responsible for signaling the body located in the colon.
