The main ingredient that makes this drink is the so-called “golden milk”, the turmeric. Turmeric is a herb from the ginger family, and can be found in natural form in the countries of Asia.
Indian saffron, as turmeric is also called, is derived from the root of the plant Curcuma longa, which in its dark brown crust hides content with intense orange color.

You will recognize it by its look similar to curry, and its color, and after you buy it, it should be kept in a dark glass jar.
Recipe for the “golden milk”
- 1/8 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons almond oil
Boil the milk, add the turmeric and continue to cook over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes.
When the milk is cool, add the cinnamon, honey and almond oil, and eat it immediately.
