BENEFITS OF OATS AND CHIA SEEDS:
Oats – contain dissolvable fiber (beta-glucan) which advances cardiovascular wellbeing and brings down bad cholesterol. It can control the levels of glucose if it is taken frequently. Also, it is full of proteins, minerals and fiber.
Chia seeds – Have anti-inflammatory properties, bring down bad cholesterol in the blood and can prevent cardiovascular infection. They are good for those who suffer from joint inflammation and elite competitors because they recover tissues and have calcium more than milk.
Recipe for oats and chia seeds breakfast
You will have a delicious and energetic breakfast.
- 500ml water
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 4 tablespoons chia seeds
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 2 tablespoons honey
- A pinch of sea salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
Put the cinnamon and vanilla in a bowl and pour the water. Put the bowl on a high heat. Lower the heat when it starts to bubble and add the oats in it and cook it for 5 minutes. Do not cover it.
Then, remove it from heat and let it stand. Cover the bowl and wait for another 5 minutes.
Add the honey and a pinch of sea salt and mix it well.
Serve it hot in a bowl and sprinkle some chia seeds.
Also, you can include apple, banana, blackberries or strawberries for a better taste.
