Man Eats 2 Tbs Of Coconut Oil Twice a Day For 60 Days And This Happens To His Brain!

After doing a thorough research, Dr Mary Newport came up with a theory according to which ketone bodies can be used as an alternative fuel for the

These bodies are naturally produced in the body when we consume coconut oil. The doctor believes that this healthy oil can provide great success in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. If she is right, this could be one of the most important discoveries regarding natural health.

The Backstory

This all came as a result of her own experience with the devastating disease. Steve, Dr Mary’s husband, struggled with progressive dementia for 5 years. The whole struggle started when he was 54. His MRI confirmed the clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Doctor Newport shared her story in a case study.

“Many days, often for several days in a row, he was in a fog; couldn’t find a spoon or remember how to get water out of the refrigerator… One day I would ask if a certain call came that I was expecting and he would say ‘No.’ Two days later he would remember the message from so-and-so from a couple of days earlier and what they said.”

The doctor noted that Steve had poor short-term memory, but the information was stuck somewhere in his brain. She assumed that there is something in his diet that could change. Steve was given heavy medication in an effort to slow the progress of his disease, but he suffered from depression instead.

He lost weight suddenly, forgot everything about his cooking skills, could not use a calculator or perform the simplest activity. Steve was unable to do many things, but preferred to spend his day out in the yard or in the garage, which provided him with an excellent physical condition.

A new hope

Dr Mary Newport did a thorough scientific research, and found several studies that showed how medium-chain fats or ketone bodies can both treat and prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Medium-chain triglycerides are also considered to be a potential cure for Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis, drug resistant epilepsy, and diabetes.

Dr Newport added, Ketone bodies may help the brain recover after a loss of oxygen in newborns through adults, may help the heart recover after an acute attack, and may shrink cancerous tumors. Children with drug resistant epilepsy sometimes respond to an extremely low carbohydrate ketogenic diet.”

Human cells can use ketone bodies as a fuel when they are deprived from glucose. Ketone bodies do not float within the body unless it has been starved for several days, or if the individual is on low-carb diet regimen, like the Atkins. Dr Newport further explained,  “In Alzheimer’s disease, the neurons in certain areas of the brain are unable to take in glucose due to insulin resistance, and slowly die off… if these cells had access to ketone bodies, they could potentially stay alive and continue to function.”

The great success

Dr Mary gave her husband a daily dose of coconut oil. After 2 months, Steve was more alert and happy, he talked a lot and started making jokes. His tremor was also less noticeable. Steve could concentrate on his tasks instead of being distracted by everything around him. He took 2 tablespoons of coconut oil twice a day, just in case there are ketone bodies in his organism all the time.

After a year of being naturally treated, Steve became a new person. It was still difficult for him to find some words, but he recognized his relatives during the family trip, talked a lot, plus his facial expression were more animated.

Dr Newport added, “For now, we are very pleased with where he is at and should coconut oil stop or slow down the progress of his disease, it will be worth every drop that he takes.”
