1. Omega-3 fatty acids
Diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids will help you fight acne. Eat fresh fish 3-4 times a week, but never farmed fish, as it contains mercury. If you do not like fish, use fish oil instead and take it as dietary supplement.
- Cut off sugar
It is not just sugar, experts also suggest that you avoid eating fruits for a while. Refined grains are as bad as sugar. Avoid refined flour and add more brown rice, quinoa, and root vegetables to your diet.
- Eat more vegetables
Choose leafy greens that are not chemically treated. Spice your dish with garlic and lemon, or make yourself a vegetable smoothie. Enrich your diet with large amounts of veggies, as vitamins and minerals in these foods have beneficial effect on the skin.
Probiotics are healthy, so eat foods that contain such cultures. You can buy probiotic products in pharmacies and take them as dietary supplements.
- Green tea
Green tea provides a wide range of health benefits, and it sure does miracles for your skin. Always buy caffeine-free green tea, as caffeine can affect blood sugar levels.
- Lemon water
Drink enough water, and add some lemon slices or lemon juice. Lemon detoxifies the whole body, and the skin as well. In addition to this, lemon water is delicious, so you will drink the necessary amount of water without any problem.
