It is scientifically proven that when the pH levels of the body are too acidic the body becomes prone to many diseases:

Medications, drugs, and toxic chemicals can lower the pH of the body. This is the main reason why there are many side effects caused of drugs. When the pH of the body drops below 6.4, it leads to a deactivation of the cells, not proper function of digestion and minerals, vitamins, and food supplements can’t effectively assimilate.

Acid makes the body more susceptible to illness and fatigue, reduces energy production in the cells, the ability to detoxify heavy metals, and the ability to repair damaged cells. In other words, your body pH affects everything. A number of studies showed that disease can’t survive in an alkaline environment and that bacteria, fungus, mold, yeast, viruses, cancer cells and candida in fact thrive in an acidic environment.

An acidic pH can occur as a result of emotional stress, toxic overload, an acid forming diet, and immune reactions that can deprive the cells of oxygen and other essential nutrients. So, the body uses alkaline mineral reserves like sodium from the stomach and calcium from the bones, which can only lead to osteoporosis and many other diseases. If you do not intake enough minerals through your diet, this will lead to accumulation of acid in the cells, and will cause symptoms like arthritis, pain, MS, lupus, and fibromyalgia.

It is a fact that cancer can’t survive in a healthy pH environment full of oxygen. Cancer of the heart does not exist and this is because there is a highest pH and oxygen levels of the blood flowing from the lungs into the heart. When the blood travels through the lungs, acidic toxins are eliminated from the system, thus leaving your body with a high blood pH and rich with oxygen. Glucose undergoes fermentation to lactic acid in the absence of oxygen, thus causing the pH of the cells to drop even lower.

How To Check Your pH Balance

Fortunately, you can test your pH levels at your own home at any time of the day. However, it is recommended to do the test at the same time each morning because your body will be more acidic the earlier you do the test. Your morning urine pH needs to be between 6.5 and 7.5. The saliva pH needs to be similar to your urine pH.

You should wait 2 hours after eating in order to measure your saliva pH. Make sure to fill your mouth with saliva then swallow it. Repeat this procedure once again to make sure your spit is clean then put some saliva on the pH strip.

It is okay if you are not able to entirely overhaul your diet. Do not forget to mention that stress can also affect your pH levels. Drink plenty of water, eat veggies, and practice deep breathing in order to lighten your acidic load.
